CJRO Radio (CJRO-FM), now branded as The Beat / Le Beat, is a low-power bilingual (English and French) community radio station serving rural south-east Ottawa and the Russell Municipality (Carlsbad Springs and Embrun on 107.7 FM, Vars and Sarsfield on 107.9 FM, Casselman on 96.3 FM). It airs volunteer-produced local news and talk (Local First / Priorité Locale) plus a varied music mix of rock, country, French pop and Celtic music.
